Karpathos Island has the most picturesque beaches

Some of the most beautiful beaches are in Greece. Sandy or pebbled, organized or not, with emerald water. The south-west side of the island has sandy beaches with calm waters. The wind mostly comes in from the east and also the sea tends to be somewhat rougher to the east.


Karpathos is the second largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands, with an area of 301 square kilometers and a coastline of 160 km, located between Rhodes and Crete. The varied landscape alternates with countless churches and chapels and beautiful beaches. It is a popular destination in the Aegean Sea, with a hospitable locale, and because it has preserved many peculiarities of dress, customs and dialect.

Achata Beach
